Come Bring Your Family to the Biggest Dog Show in Town!
Discover Dogs 2012 is just round the corner. Scheduled to be held on 19 August at the Singapore Expo, it will be the biggest dog event of the year and the first Discover Dog organized by the Singapore Kennel Club in four years!
Billed as the Canine Extravaganza of the Year by the SKC, there will be tons of exciting activity and events for all dog lovers. Among the dog training related highlights at discover dogs are:
- Singapore Open Obedience Trial
- Agility and Jumpers Trials
The Singapore Open Obedience Trial will consist of pre-novice all the way to open class. The judge for the event is Tan Pak Song, who is himself a former obedience and utility competitor. Among the more notable trial participants are Debra and Dexter Sim. Debra has achieved much success in the obedience ring previously with her show and obedience dual champion dog, Mikah while Dexter has guided his dog to 6 Singapore Kennel Club Obedience Dog of the Year and 6 Utility Dog of the Year titles in the last 10 years; a feat unmatched by any in Singapore.
Slated for that day are also obedience as well as dog dancing demos. The public too can join in the fun as there will be fun trials, fun competition like longest line of Sit-Stay as well as a special event where Singapore dog owners can show off the special talents of their dogs.
The current SKC Dog Trainer will also be at hand to conduct free obedience lessons for those who attend so if you have any questions on dog obedience, it’s a good time to ask.

The event is expected to last from 10 am to 10 pm and given its size and grandeur, this is an event not to be missed, especially if you are a dog lover.

Discover Dog is an event aimed at providing information for and educating dog owners as well as the public at large on every aspect of dog ownership, from caring, adopting, and grooming to training your dogs. It’s about learning and understanding about dogs and discovering the beauty of dog ownership and companionship.

Entry Pricing
- $8 per person from 10 am to 6 pm
- $4 per person from 6 to 8 pm
- Free entry for children 12 years and below as well as visitors arriving after 8 pm.
